What Grades Can Join?
Sport Explorers runs kindergarten to grade 7. Each school’s page shows the grades for that program.
Where Do Sessions Happen?
At your child’s school, right after the bell. Children stay on site and our coaches take it from there, so there’s no driving across town. Each school’s page says whether that program runs in the gym or on the field.
Does My Child Need to Be Sporty?
No. Every session is full of games that build skills, confidence and teamwork, and several programs mix a few different sports. Nobody needs to be “sporty” to love it.
Do You Run Camps?
Camps are SportsWeek, our multi-sport camps. Sport Explorers runs programs: before and after school, in-school PE, birthday parties and community programs.
What If My Child's School Isn't Listed?
Tell us which school using the form on this site, and we’ll email you if Sport Explorers opens there. Schools in Burnaby and Surrey book Sport Explorers through their district’s approved-provider route.
Who Runs Sport Explorers?
Sport Explorers is the multi-sport program provider of Private Coaching Collective, which runs youth sport programs across the North Shore. It delivers programs in schools, community centres and more.
Safety
How Many Children Are There per Coach?
Never more than 10 children per coach.
Are the Coaches Background-Checked?
Yes. Every coach has a criminal record check that includes the vulnerable sector, plus current first aid and CPR.
Are You Insured?
Yes. Every program is fully insured, every session.
Cost and Refunds
How Much Does It Cost?
Most programs are $240 + GST for 8 sessions, which is $30 a session. Each school’s page shows its program’s price, and if you join part-way through, you pay only for the sessions left. You book and pay on Uplifter. Find your school.
What Is the Refund Policy?
Before the first class you can switch to a full credit with no fee, or take a refund of 100% at 14 or more days before, 75% at 7–14 days, or 50% under 7 days, minus a $15 fee. After the first class there are no refunds, except a prorated credit for a medical withdrawal with a doctor’s note. Missed sessions aren’t refunded or credited. Read the full refund policy.
